Something Real only works if people can trust the room. These rules apply at every event, in every message with other members, and in anything we arrange for you afterwards.
Be who you said you are
Your name, age, photos and relationship status are real. If you’re married, in a relationship or not actually looking for one, don’t apply.
Consent, every time
Ask before you touch anyone. No means no, and so does no answer. If someone isn’t interested, that’s the end of it, at the event and after.
Matches go through us
Don’t push anyone for their number or socials. After the event we ask who you want to see again, and we connect you when it’s mutual. That protects both of you.
What happens in the room stays there
Don’t photograph or film other guests without asking them first. Don’t share anyone’s name, photo or story outside the event.
Drink like you want to be remembered well
Enjoy yourself. If you’re too drunk to hold a real conversation, our hosts will ask you to leave.
Nobody’s selling anything
No promoting a business, recruiting or collecting contacts for anything but dating.
Show up if you said you would
Each event has 24 spots and someone else wanted yours. Cancel at least 48 hours ahead. If you don’t show up without telling us, you drop down the list for future events.
If something’s wrong, tell us
Talk to a host at the event, or use the contact form. We read every report and keep it confidential.
We may ask you to leave the event without a refund, and we may remove you from future events and matchmaking. We decide case by case, and we side with the person who was made to feel unsafe.
